I am Vahid Vahidian. Born in Iran,1978.
As a multimedia artist, I work and live in Örebro, Sweden.
I am a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and curator currently based in Örebro, Sweden. With a background in visual arts, film, and performance, my artistic journey has been shaped by diverse experiences across Iran, Japan, and Sweden. I work across a range of media including experimental film, painting, installation, and performance, often guided by the themes of identity, memory, nature, and the human body.
My practice is rooted in inquiry — each project begins with a question, and I choose the medium that best reflects its emotional and conceptual depth. I am particularly interested in the intersections between literature and visual language, as well as in audience interaction and participatory elements within exhibitions and performances.
Nature and femininity are recurring themes in my work, often explored as interconnected forces of creation and transformation. I view both as powerful, complex, and life-giving — mirroring each other in resilience and multiplicity. My experiences in three different cultural contexts continue to influence how I perceive place, body, and belonging.
